The Bodhran (pronounced bow-rawn) is a traditional Irish instrument dating from the 15th century. It's a one-sided drum made from goatskin and treated by a traditional stretching process over a circular wodden frame. The Bodhran is played with a "tipper" or "beater" which is included.
